Day 8.....Getting off and going home.....boo..hoo

We all woke up early today as we were scheduled to eat our last meal in Triton's.  We had to be there at 7:30 for breakfast as they wanted people out of their staterooms by 9:00am.  We ran into our stateroom host Antonio and he told us that we could leave our things in our room and come back to get them after breakfast.  We were happy with that as we really didn't want to carry all of our stuff with us.  For anyone going on a cruise....don't forget to leave a bag and an outfit with your bathroom stuff out for the morning.  Usually all your luggage has to be in the hallway for pick-up by 10pm.  We usually bring a small rolling suitcase for our bathroom things and our p.j.'s and the kids blankets.

So we headed off for our last breakfast with our servers.  Our head server was Ronald who was probably the most interactive one I have had on any cruise.  He came by our table every night and on lobster night shelled 2 of the 3 lobsters at our table.  Our server was Vishal from India.  He was quite funny and entertained the kids with magic tricks and was also very enamored with how much food Roland could eat.  Our assistant server was Putra from Indonesia.  He was a bit shy but came around quickly.  He love playing with the kids and always helped them with their food, made mickey catchup for them and had crayon games for Roland.  We really enjoyed them.  We for sure knew we loved them when one night our server hurt his back and was not at dinner.  We had a replacement by the name of Vicki.  She was scary and mean.  We were happy she wasn't there to stay.  We gave everyone their full tips plus some extra cash as we felt they really earned them.  Even after we had given them their envelopes they continued to go out of their way for us.  We are thinking of requesting them when we go in January 2012.

Ok, so I digress.  So we enjoyed breakfast and said our good-bye's.  We went back to the cabin to gather our stuff and headed up to deck 5 above the atrium.  We came in later than originally thought due to a storm that slowed them down, so customs took longer to clear the ship.  We did not end up getting off the ship until almost 11:00am.  By the time they had called Red Mickey tags to disembark there was almost no line so we jumped in with them.  After all this time we realized that they really don't know who has what tag.  When we got through customs we found our luggage, got to the car and were home by 12:30.

Later that night after dinner (Pizza Hut, because I wasn't ready to cook), the kids asked me why it felt like the couch was moving.  It was cute.  Our sea legs lasted until Tuesday morning and then I didn't notice anything moving anymore.

All in all we had a great time.  Relaxing might not be the word I use to describe this vacation, but being a crazy planner has something to do with that. Having a few days off after always helps me catch up on laundry and unpack as well as have some time to myself.  We have decided a vacation is what you make of it.  We went in with high expectations and thankfully they were all met.  If they hadn't been, it wouldn't have mattered because we would have just bent whichever way we needed to in order to make it right for us.  Disney continues to give great service and we continue to be loyal to them....when we can afford it.  We are now counting down to January 2, 2012 for our next Mexican Riviera adventure with them.

I hope you enjoyed reading.  It was my first trip report, my first blog, etc.  I had fun re-living our trip even though it was only last week and what a great way to keep a memory.
